Protect insurance companies’ profits

The gang at Funny or Die have made this PSA in association within MoveOn.org to highlight what healthcare reform really ought to be about: Protecting the profits of the insurance companies (I’m not being sarcastic, not at all).

Very important points. Hopefully they will do one for the unfairly got-at pharmaceutical companies.

I didn't recognise many people other than Will Ferrell. Hiro from Heroes? Turk from Scrubs? The titchy one from ER? And that's it - yay! I don't know many celebrities.

Truthfully, I don't know most of the actors, either. The link includes all the actors, but I deleted them (hey—it's not MY job to promoted commercial interests!).

Big Pharma is part of the problem in the US—not as big as insurance companies and companies that run hospitals, but they're certainly not without blame.

Besides Will Ferrell, there's Jon Hamm, Emmy winner from Mad Men; Olivia Wilde from The O.C. - that I had to look up, & she's also #1 on some Maxim list; Thomas Lennon from Reno 911!; Robert Ben Garant from Reno 911! (looked it up); Masi Oka from Heroes; Jordana Spiro from a sitcom I watched once called My Boys; Linda Cardellini, most recently from E.R. but best known by me from a great show called Freaks and Geeks; and Donald Faison from Scrubs.

Hey, I'm a librarian with a need to know.

Thank you, Roger. Maybe I should leave in the list of actors for those who are interested. I remove them because, as professionals, they have the people and means to promote themselves, as opposed to non-profit and amateur people whose work usually goes unnoticed. But it probably would be more useful to readers to keep the lists. We'll see…
